yeah that umd house is ugly.
that's weird that cubicalites like daniel in the lion's den. maybe it's a visual prayer of protection from beurocrats?

I think it's more the underlying message of "Good god, get me out of here!". You can look at the painting, have no idea about what the story is and still get that message just from the expression on Daniel's face.

I was thinking of taking a day trip to D.C soon to check out the National Gallery and maybe one other museum. Is that stupid to just do it in a day? I would take a early morning bus or train and late night bus/train.. I don't really want to do anything other than a few museums..

Nah, it's totally do-able since all the (free) museums are in one area, and also only a few stops away from the bus/train station. The National Gallery isn't all that huge and the highlights could be done in about 2-3 hours. Most of the museums you could see the highlights of in about 1-1.5 hours with quick walking and not too much lingering over artifacts.

Nice pictures - shame they don't let you *in* Space Ship One.

I have an air mussium just down the road called Duxford. They have a B52 bomber as the main atraction!
