this is how I spend my time

If it would ever stop raining, I could harvest my lettuce and turnips. I'm not convinced it will stop raining while I am home long enough for me to do this.

I've recently discovered that while one is waiting for surgery, Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility is a much more soothing gaming experience than Trauma Center: Second Opinion. Go figure.

I think archiwench plays harvest moon too, or perhaps I am delusional.

She played Harvest Moon briefly. She felt there wasn't enough shopping and frankly I think there wasn't enough killing for her. I'm terribly fond of games that require me to build an economy. Also Fairfax County won't let me have chickens or goats so I have to make do with the digital versions.

Marie - when is your surgery scheduled?

I wish I had a garden! I am successfully growing catnip and lemon balm on my porch. That's about all I can handle at present.

I don't have a date for the surgery yet, but the consultation and additional testing is all done on the 10th of July at Johns Hopkins, so the surgery hopefully will be shortly thereafter.

Container gardening can be very effective. Have you tried container tomatoes? Also have you read Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew. It's a very good book about planting in small spaces. And there is an LJ group about apartment gardening.
