On my way home this evening there was a long haired dachshund in the road. I stopped the car and got out. He ran from me and barked at me. I asked a man who was standing in his yard if he knew whose dog it was, but he didn't speak English. I hope that was home too! I just came back from a bike ride and saw a feral kitten - she wouldn't come to me and no collar - and I felt so bad leaving her. She was a gorgeous long hair with whiskey colored eyes. Black and white of course ;) I wonder if calling animal services would do any good.

I always feel pangs when things like that happen. Like when you stop to give a friendly mangy-looking cat attention and wonder if he has a home or not.

Aw man, that's tough.

You know, I would have tried to catch him...and probably have been bitten for my troubles. It wouldn't be the first time. :^P
