4th Sacrifice - Preparations

[Phone | Everyone}

Hello again.

It may be bad time with what Mayfield has done. But I wish for some help.

I am not much of baker, and wish to make large batch of cookies for upcoming holidays and winter solstice. Something for the children to get minds off of what has happened.

Anyone willing to help with this?

Oh, Solstice cookies! I haven't done those in a few years, but I think I can still remember the technique. Do you used the sugar cookie version, or the ones with jam filling?

Sugar cookie would be fine, though Jam filling may be nice as well. What do children of Mayfield like?

There's a broad range of children, here. The ones that are aware come from a lot of different cultures, so they might need some explanations about the tradition. I'll see who can help, and we can bake this weekend.

Don't want cookies to be stale, maybe we should save baking for weekend before solstice?

503 Ricardo Street.

I have drone house and drone wife is not too cooperative.

She insists on Christmas cookies.

[Gives you a wide-eyed look]

Ya know what? I don't need a hair cut that badly.

Do not be silly. I cut hair and you pay me.

Now be still. I am old man and hand shakes.

[Scissors coming at your hair Quinn without hesitation. What do?]

You sit still. Is bad time for business and I do not like people who play tricks.

[Coming home from the store -- not for a grocery errand, but a simpler one that involves all the periodicals she could find for a research project.]

[The smile she flashes at the man on the sidewalk is friendly, but tinged with wariness.]

[He returns the smile. Letting the dog stop to sniff a fence.]

You have pretty smile, though your eyes do join with it.

You should smile more, it warms old blood.

[She stopped as well, and looked down at the dog and tried to parse the words through the accent.]

Thank you. Been a bit-- difficult recently, that's all.

[She knelt, and offered her fingres to the dog first, to let him get a sniff, and then looked up at the old god who she does not know, and smiles again, little warmer now.]

I'm Roxanne. Can't say I've seen you before.

[The drone dog licks her fingers.]

That is understandable.

I am somewhat new. You may call me Mr. Czernobog.

I am getting to know town and taking dog for walk.

[Well how about that. He's walking his bunny, also with a cigarette in hand. The bunny seems to be going a bit slowly, Holland prodding it slightly along with the leash.]

You can't sleep all day.

[He waves to the man with a bunny.]

I do not think rabbits care what you think of their sleeping habits.

[Meanwhile, his dog would love to be free and run that bunny down. He's keeping a good grip of it's leash though.]

He knows better.

[Talking about the rabbit as if he's a person, yep. He will pick the rabbit up though, making sure the dog can't get to him.]

But he likes home best of all.

I am sure he does. Where is home for bunny? Do you keep him outside like dog?

Dog likes whatever dogs are supposed to like. I think dog is drone like people.
