Um.. well, basically he was lying on the couch and he told my aunt that he had to go to the bathroom.. so his father and his sister helped him walk to the bathroom.. he went to the bathroom.. he stood up.. walked out of the bathroom.. and collapsed... and.. died.
Wow.. it sounds awful to just put it like that, but.. thats what happened.
I can identify. When we went back to Colorado to see my grandmother in 2006, we did so because I had a strong feeling it would be the last I had with her.
She died November 1st, 2007 and she died before I could get there, though I tried. Our last conversation was about underwear and making Christmas fudge, not goodbyes.
Thank you.. and I am really sorry for your loss. It is better for him that it went more quickly than if he had to live in pain for a few months, but it still in some ways makes it harder when it happens without you having the chance to actually say the goodbye....
