therealljidol week 8 - topic: rants.

Nov 13, 2008 15:02

You know, I don't think of myself as a particularly bitter person. Really, I don't. But, when the topic of a rant came up, it took me quite awhile to choose a topic. I mean... I have MANY things that I could stand to rant about. Does that make me biter? Or just.. pessimistic? Maybe. I hope not. But, there were definitely a lot of choices for ( Read more... )

*applauds* This is so very true. Stepping outside of ourselves to understand, help, or make someone else's life just a little easier is one of the greatest feelings of being alive. More people need to do this! Love this post! :)

I agree, the world is lacking in common courtesy. For example, today I had a professor answer his phone and talk to the person twice in class. Twice!

That oral surgeon's secretary sounds kind of weird though. I don't know why you wouldn't just tell someone that you were eating instead of putting them on hold for twenty minutes! Such a waste of time!

Right?! And I am not exaggerating.. it was LITERALLY 20 minutes. I was gonna hang up and just call back but I was worried I just wouldn't get in touch with them... and I've been trying to book this for awhile. :/

That's annoying about your professor.. my doctor did that to me once.. just left the room to talk to his wife on his cell phone twice while I'm sitting there waiting for my physical... yeah. Haha.

I hate it when people have no respect for your time. I hate being put on hold too because I'm worried if I hang up I won't get a hold of them again. :P

Yea, especially since this is medical school! I pay a ridiculous amount of money for school to just have him treat us without respect. I seriously thought it was a prank after the second time because he was having conversations with the people that called him.

Some doctors (like my professor) are just bad with patients and I'll never understand how they got into medical school. :3

I agree! And, I have more! So, last night I call my doctor because I have a question about medication that he just gave me. I leave a message, because him and his receptionist are gone for the day. A very detailed message saying I NEED someone to call me back today, because I need to have this question answered before I can take the pills. And NO ONE CALLS ME BACK! And his office is closed for the weekend now because he is Orthodox Jewish and takes off at noon every Friday. So, like.. what the hell? How does he not return a phone call like that?!

Your professor sound ridiculous. People are ridiculous! You don't seem all that ridiculous though. Mind if I add you as a friend? :)
