So, while Bush is president, the Democrats have taken the House and last I heard have a 50/50 shot at the Senate as well. In the US the President himself has very little power. His power stems from the fact that his party typically controls one or both houses of congress.

We have three flavors of left-wing crazy!

Sometimes even more, if the Communists/Marxist-Leninists/other are running in your area.

OK, not a REAL choice, but if we're going by that, I have no REAL choice in my vote: my area is overwhelmingly Liberal. (Which I don't mind, but.)

I count the NDP as the obvious right-wing crazies, and you can make an argument for the Green party, although I don't think they're official yet.

Who's the third kind?

I count the liberals as left-wing. Not astoundingly so, but left wing.

And I guess Quebec has the Bloc, too.

Huh. I consider the Bloc to be center (If only they weren't a separatist party!) and the Liberals to be very slightly right of, but still a center party.

Of course, it could just be that I'm left of center.
