This Wednesday David Chaum will be giving a guest lecture for my Applied Cryptology class. He is described by Prof. Meneze as of similar star status among cryptologists as Madonna would be among singers. What's more, Prof. Meneze has asked us to invite friends. So

I believe so yes, but I don't think there's a class using the hall after us, so people will probably stay around to ask questions after the lecture.

When I took crypto (same building, probably same room), we had a guest speaker on this and he was pretty good (maybe not the same guy) but it was packed, so I would suggest that you get there early, as the class is usually full anyway).
It is definately worth it to go if anyone is interested in this stuff.
