So...this is kind of a lame question but...

When do you know you're an adult? Is there like...some kind of right of passage or?

Opinions?

There isn't a set time. People become adults at different times and in different ways. But most know when they can look at their life and put responsibilities before fun and you know for a fact the world no longer revolves around yourself and it doesn't bother you to know that.

Huh...well I mean, I'm a superhero. That's kind of part of the job.

True. But what about your personal life?

Um...mostly spent reading comic books, watching TV and waiting for the next big crime that is in need of my superheroics.

I used to have a girlfriend but she was sent home.

Oh! And I run an Inn sorta. It mostly runs itself.

Usually when the things that used to seem so significant seem less so... and different things take their place.

I'm not sure I understand...like what?

Back when you're a child, things seem like the most important things in the world. Later on, they don't seem as much so, in comparison.

Oh I think I get it, but if you know, saving the world vs. getting a story before bedtime is all it takes to be an adult that sets the bar kinda low.

Well, B.B., there's no real answer to that question.

It's a question of maturity, how old you feel, how old you act... And how old you're willing to let yourself be.

Legally? It's at 18. Law, however, has very little to do with how we feel...

I was afraid of something like that.

I mean, you know me. I still make weekly trips to the toy store.

Buuuuuut i'm also all caretakery for the Inn so...yeah.

And you know me, B.B. I'll be right there to buy you comics, sweets, and the latest cheesy movie releases.

You know if you need a hand, you can ask, right? You don't need to carry all this on your shoulders.

Eh, it's not that much work really. Sides working around the Inn keeps me busy so I don't get totally bored. It's not exactly as action packed as living full time in Neon City but I have less bruises.

Adult hood tends to be the same as childhood, only you have to be more careful about what you do and you can't really tell when you start doing it. It just kinda happens.

What's scary is that the future rests on our shoulders.
