Red tape and other corporate nightmares

Dana waits patiently for the harried looking HR manager to input Raya's information into the system. The talented young woman is due to arrive shortly and some of the finaly paperwork was delayed by an IT failure. The young man pulls a paper off his printer and assembles the final folder

Finding this place was easy enough; even getting up to Dana's office was oddly facilitated, once she'd given her name.

Strange. Raya knocks on the door, just a simple rap of her knuckles on the frame to announce herself, waiting for an answer before she comes in.

Dana turns and smiles. "Hello dear. Please come in," Dana says, crossing the room. "No troubles find your way I hope?"

"No, no trouble," she answers, with a slight smile as she steps into the office. "I was actually a little surprised at how easy it was to get up here," Raya says.

Dana waves her to the seating area and picks up the folders. "The strong-armed guards, laser grid and rabid dogs are only for the uninvited guests," she jokes with a smile. Placing the folder on the table in front of Raya, she says, "I'm afraid there are a few forms to sign for the bureaucrats. The standard contract work agreement among other things." She pulls a pen from a cup on her desk and hands it over. "May I get you anything while you go over those forms? Take as much time with them as you need."
