The story of Remus Lupin was known all over the family. After all, his father was such a fan. And since Harry Potter, the savior of the Wizarding World, was enamored so much, everyone else seemed to appear fascinated about the late werewolf.
"I like to be like him," Fred once said. "Even though he's dead, the birds fancy him."
Well, it was true. Even though Remus Lupin had died over twenty years ago, his female cousins always coo whenever his life story was uttered by his father's lips. He was a war hero, a truly vigilant man, someone to look up to...
He wasn't jealous! He was just sick of it.
"Look! It's the full moon!" Lily and Rose stood up and stared at the bright moon, sighing to themselves.
James sighed and stood up. Lily fascinating over Lupin, he could take...but to see Rose Weasley, Hermione Granger's daughter, dreaming about marrying a werewolf was too much to handle.
He had tried different methods in order to capture the ire of the aloof Weasley for years and now, he was being blatantly outscored by a moon.
A lifeless moon and a lifeless werewolf.
"Albus, let's play Exploding Snap upstairs," James glared at the two girls. "Quickly now!"
No--James thought as he dragged his brother upstairs--he wasn't jealous, at all.
