There are many "big" events where almost everyone seemed to know where they were, what they were doing, and who they were with. It might be because my memory is not as great as it could be, but I don't remember many of these moments. I could maybe remember 3. One of which doesn't count as it's a situation that's only big to me

Our teacher was called to the door and whispers were exchanged. She returned and announced "The Pentagon has been bombed." I remember thinking that it must have been a joke, that kind of thing didn't really happen out of the blue.
For the rest of the day all of the teachers kept the news on. Some didnt even require that we work that day. We all watched the television screens filled with mixed emotions.
We all watched the horror in NYC in silence. We wondered about those victims and their families.
Before the week was up, I had seen the replay of that plane hitting the WTC so many times that I actually quit watching tv in disguist at the tv stations.
I still don't watch it very often.
