We have drunk raw milk for years without any problems, but we either had our own cow(s), or bought from a farmer friend. The farm where we had been getting our milk dried off all ( Read more... )

Oh, Sarah... I'm so sorry. I meant my OTHER blog! I'm soooooo sorry I didn't make that clear! Have you seen my new blog? It's here: http://bargainsleuth.blogspot.com/

I have been shamefully neglecting LJ. :-(

I hope your final went OK. I need to email you again! I was in ICU yesterday with Dad and got home late.

Love you! *hugs*

I'm glad you like it! :-D

I've seen many things in ICU that I have never seen in my nursing clinicals (like a J tube). Dad explains so many things to me and I get to see how he interacts and assesses his patients. VS are TOO easy to get - you just have to take their temp and read the rest off the monitor! The monitors are really cool because you can even get a patient's BP from the nurses' desk: all you have to do is push a button on the monitor! (You've probably already seen these!)

One thing I like about ICU is that the nurses have more time to give bedside care. Sometimes on Med/Surg the nurses have so many patients to look after that they can't spend much time with each patient. :-(

I'll ask Dad if he has any tips for you! :-)
