Most engineers consider themselves superior to non-engineers. Or at least, we like to talk about ourselves because it makes us feel even more important. ;)

yes. we're great at imaginary math, but can't figure out how much tip is after dinner.

Hah. It's even worse when it comes time to divide a grocery bill up four ways. My roommates and I: a EE, an AE, a BME, and a CMPE...we stand around desperately trying to do basic division in our heads, looking like idiots the whole five minutes it takes us to do it right.
