So, I felt like I needed to review canon. However, I abhor my canon. As such, I want to do this once and never have to do it again, so you get my mildly amusing, episode by episode summaries of Blood+ ~*~WITH PICTURES~*~.
In some countries, this is called masochism.
Hm I've heard some things about this anime I wonder what all the fuss is about...
HOLY DAMN THIS SHIT IS FUCKING AWESOME
wait what the fuck
WHERE DID ALL THAT FUCKING AWESOME GO. I should have know that this was a precursor to pretty much the entire series.
LOL HI DAVID you fucking hobo. GET A REAL JOB.
wait lesbians???? I can dig lesbians. Too bad you never see this girl after pretty much this episode. I also realize that Saya's voice is not as painfully irritating as it usually is in this episode.
SERIOUSLY I DON'T REMEMBER LESBIANS
Kai, go die in a fucking fire.
BECAUSE THAT'S NOT SUSPICIOUS AT ALL, NOPE.
Sup Julia, you and David are the only reason I kept with this show until Diva showed up. BE PROUD.
And Haji, whose only redeeming quality in my eyes is that he plays the cello beautifully.
Riku does not want. Understandably.
And so, it begins. Haji whips out a knife, and Saya runs the fuck away until she finds a teacher.
O SHI---
gross, bro
Locking a glass door: Vampire protection.
lol jk
LOL TWILIGHT that is all I can think of
that's hot, Haji
I think this anime is actually about rape.
Seriously.
AREN'T THEY CUTE??
OH WAIT THIS IS KIND OF COOL...
WAIT THE EPISODE IS OVER. FUCK YOU.
ACTUAL SUMMARY:
In a warzone in the past, there were monsters killing soldiers and civilians alike. However, a young woman emerged from the forest and slayed these monsters...but began to kill the people too. She went on a ramage, not stopping even when shot, and she destroys everything in her path. However, in the present, there is Saya Otonashi, a teenaged amnesiac and a track star. She's a normal enough girl, except for the fact she doesn't have any memories from before a year ago. After practicing for a track meet the next day with a friend, her foster brother, Kai, takes her to a hospital for a blood transfusion. She walks home on her own, and sees a small crowd gathered around a man playing the cello. The music brings her a vision of a girl running in a large castle. The girl starts to open a lock to a door, and Saya calls out to this girl in her vision, but instead trips and fall in the bushes. Emabarassed, she goes home.
She finds her foster father George and her little brother playing catch in the park, and they all go home together. At their family restaurant, Saya realizes she left her track shoes at the school, so she decides to go back to the school to get them. As she leaves, she meets David at the door, who says he has business with her father. After she leaves, David and George discuss Saya. David demands that George "hand her over", but when George refuses, David calls Saya George's replacement daugther. He leaves an envelope of money that he calls "this month’s share" before he leaves.
Saya has to sneak into the school since it was closed, but she runs into the cellist from earlier that day. He says that he's glad to meet her again, and pulls out a dagger. With the news of a serial killer in the area lately, Saya runs away in fear and bumps into one of her teachers. Her teacher searches the grounds where Saya was, but no one is there. As he walks under the tree, a monstrous arm reaches down and pulls him into the tree. He falls back down after a few moments, dead and bloody. A large monster soon follows, and Saya runs.
Back at home, Saya's friend that she was practicing with returns the shoes that Saya left at school. This prompts George to call Kai, to go bring home Saya.
Saya hides in the school, but the monster is still pursuing her, and she is injured by the glass that it breaks. She runs away, meeting the cellist once again. He throws one of those daggers past her, and begins to fight the monster, but Saya is knocked out when the monster accidentally slams her into a window. She wakes in the science lab with Haji, who tells her that the monster is a Chiropteran, a creature that drinks blood of the living. He takes a sword out of his cello case and unravels his grotesque looking hand from the bandages, and cuts his own hand. He reaches out to Saya, but she runs away from him, afraid.
The Chiropteran enters the lab again, and as it attacks Saya, Haji tackles her to the ground. Meanwhile, Kai has arrived at the school, and is following the trail of blood that Saya left. He enters the lab to see the Chiropteran and Haji kissing Saya, exchanging his blood through a kiss. He tells her to fight, and Saya remembers that warzone, and the girl opening the padlocked door.
Her eyes dilate and turn bright red.
RATING ON THE BLOOD+ RAGE METER:
1 / 10
I still think the first episode is good, not irritating, and entertaining.
