ikr? my magical snapping of the fingers is having zero effect :( it just seems like we should be better at fixing this by now, it happens WAY too often for us to not have figured out a way to stop it
it seems weird right, like how is that going to do anything? and letting them start drilling again without anyone going in and assuring that all their other drill sites are actually being done correctly? that seems like groos negligence and incompetence by the governing bodies
it just seems a bit like Katrina all over again, just ignore it and the problem iwll go away, um no, the govt has to pull it's finger out and actively come up with solutions i just feel so bad for all the people that have lost their jobs/food source and all the run on effects like a decrease in tourism funds from the area and things like that that keep those smaller communhities ticking over :(
It really is. It disgusts me. There was a huge spill in Alaska years ago but they got it cleaned up a lot earlier. The govt actually helped so I know they have the power to do it. I wish I knew why they weren't. :(
Me too. There's a hurricane coming to the gulf and they're afraid it'll spread the oil more. It makes me sad too. I literally cry about stuff like this all the time.
Every time I turn on the TV I just want to take a big straw and suck all of the oil out. I don't trust BP, I just want to slam my head against a wall repeatedly. I have faith in our president, so I feel as though he is doing the best he can, that being said, it is hard to watch.
