Eh I wrote something in french and it went away. Basically I am opinionated, but I don't want to offend anyone, and I don't know if the French will take kindly to some American discussing politics with them, even if she is anti-Bush. I am more specifically interested in the french reaction to the European constitution, global warming and the bazillions of problems in Africa. These are all situations that Americans choose to ignore or say very little about, but which I try to follow, and which are closer in many ways to France (well, not global warming).

I thing generalities never are correct, especially generalities relative to national characters like anti-americanism of French (or Europeans in general), or anti-(pro-) Russian attitude of Ukrainians, or islamic fondamentalism of Arabs. Everywhere one can allways meet reasonable and open-minded people as well as some pid-headed idiots. Question of statistics. And what about discussing globalization, or prospects for multicultural world, or "colored revolutions" in ex-cumminist countries, or balance between democracy, chaos and totalitarianism, or between market economy and social welfare?

I have an interest in multiple aspects of international politics and enjoy learning and discussing what I do and do not understand or necessarily have knowledge of. Is this the beginning of a discussion about the list you gave me or simply pointing out that I didn't make a list long enough to suit you?
Maybe I'm too self-confident, but I hope I deserve staying here a moment, instead of "going away" immidiately :). Of course, the final decision is up to you.

as long as you aren't out to convert me to a religion or specific way of thinking, you can stay. ;-)
