so i think i have laryngitis...cause all my problems line up exactly with what wikipedia says...and although i know wikipedia is the antithesis of knowledge, can it really hurt to use a humidifier, go on extreme vocal rest, drink hot herbal (no caffine) tea, and take two advil and see a doctor if it doesn't get better by monday (it started tuesday

I don't know if it is too late to give advice, but I get laryngitis all the time and I find that gargling salt water helps for some reason.

i tried that..it actually isn't larygnitis, it is a throat infection...i never had larygitis, but it is usually gone in about three days so by the fourth day i went to some guy cause my doctor is always on vacation...whee!!! but thanks for the advice...it is actually helpful for this thing too
