I am getting rid of my skinny clothes. Keeping clothes in the hopes of one day being able to fit into them is almost universally accepted as a bad idea, yet it is so common.

I have given up a number of my skinny clothes, then I lose weight and give up my fat clothes, then I put the weight back on.

I am keeping some local clothiers in business.
