Thailand in 2 days
Yeah, Thailand isn't that great. The place is kinda seedy in the busy areas, it's pretty funny to be approached by all these guys selling porn dvds/vcds. They have this small card with DVD SEX written on it and they flash it at you and try to talk you into it. Pretty lol.
Yesterday the tuk tuk (imagine a 3 wheeled motorized cart) took us around to where we wanted to go to, but we had to stop off several times to help him get free gas and probably shop commissions. First time we didn't get it and just left the shop, but 2nd and 3rd time we kinda wised up and went to window shop for ~15 minutes each time. Shop keepers were understandably not too happy but that's the system here I guess.
The cab we tried to catch back was sucky. First he blocked off a motorcyclist when he picked us up, and both parties got really pissed at each other. Taxi kept trying to side swipe the bike and also tried to rear end him but braked at the last minute. Pretty crazy. Later on we didn't even reach our destination and we had to jump out of the cab, although at no charge. Still, wasted an hour of our time, which wasn't great.
Got a massage earlier today. I think massages are like Thai national sport hey, although most of them are kinda dodgy, with the spruikers offering upstairs rooms and showers. The one I got today with Bart was all non-dodge though, funnily it was really hard to get to unlike the other dodgy massage parlours. Cheap too, for both of us we paid 900 bhat (~$40) for a 2 hr Thai massage. Calves hurt like hell now and I was kinda ticklish for the back and outside of my thighs, but it was pretty nice. Think I kinda dozed off a few times, hahaha.
