...and i posted its title sequence, a few people have asked about the unfilmed series finale -- on the day the series was cancelled, the outline had just been approved and i was to begin writing the script...so how exactly was "jake 2.0" to finish?

Thank you greatly for this. I love Jake 2.0 and have been enjoying the run on Sci-fi. I wish the show had been allowed to finish the season. This would have been satisfying.

My favorite line out of the entire thing..

...our order had been cut to 19 episodes...so we planned it as a series finale with a grace note allowing us to bring back jake and the nanites in case some screw went loose with the universe and they actually renewed the series.

this was to be episode 19. 17 dealt with dumont's girlfriend vanessa coming to town and going after jake at the same time as his parents came to visit. 18 was a first part for the outline above and dealt with jake's attempts to redeem vanessa after her arrest and her subsequent death from dumont's virus.

as it was, as we were filming 16, with 17 in rewrite, 18 a draft and this one as an outline, upn showed a rerun of america's next top model in our time slot...that rerun did twice our first run number and the next morning, as i sat down to begin a script based on the outline above, the show was summarily cancelled.

i can't be entirely bitter, since, as i mentioned in a previous post, it was the inopportune concalleation of jake that put me at the right place and time to work on "lost."

And here you've answered my question about Vanessa! Aha, I see. Man, those are three episodes I would have wanted to see, dammit.

Found this from TWOP. Awesome work, I love the show. Thanks for the closure. Is there any way that we could see an outline/ draft for 17 and 18 too?
