(I edited my entry 5 seconds after your reply, but that's OK. Not much really changed on my opinion, I just added more detail)~
So no, not kidding. Ignoring that parts that already make Avatar a success, such as the animation, music etc...it wasn't great for an ending. No character closure (don't get me started on Toph), and some shit just doesn't make any logical sense.
The giant WTF!TALKING turtle was creepy. How freaking random was that? It was almost like deus ex machina for Aang's powers to return.

Sokka/Suki. No, thanks. My best critique of Suki would be that she mostly stands around for Sokka to sling his arm around her. Great canon. Great canon, indeed. So, what happened to outspoken GirlsRule!Suki? She died after the 2nd episode
