hey, i know we havent talked in a while, but i wanted to make an appearance on this post because it comes from your heart.
You are smart in your new plan, to let things go. Don't worry about waiting for a natural moment or worrying about it or trying to make it happen or whatever else. When a moment presents itself, you will know it, and you will feel those butterflies go off in your stomach and that will tell you that that moment is a good one to make your move.
I miss seeing you around everyday. But its really good to hear that you are enjoying school and have made some amazing new friends to add to your amazing old ones. :)
Jason, Its really crzy reading your livejournal. I feel like I get a tiny glimpse into your head. But yeah, just wanted to say that I think you are a swell guy and that your new plan sounds like a good one. I hope you are having a wicked awesome day and i'll talk to you later. -Mel
*hug* Jason, you're awesome, and I know you'll find someone. It just takes time and - it seems so to me, at least - a great deal of random luck to happen upon someone who would work for you, and keep happening upon them until things go further. And since you can't really plan for randomness, just letting go is a great way to deal with things.
And you don't necessarily have to worry about the fact that guys always need to make the first move. If you are into forward, confident women, there is a good chance they will find you. My boyfriend is like you in that way - he's shyer with women - and while he's had three long-term relationships, he has never once asked someone else out. *rolls eyes* So yeah - it happens. :)
