I have two: That's why you get paid the big bucks, and Throw under the bus. I despise them both.

That's interesting. Any particular reason those two bug you?

I think because there's an undercurrent of bitterness/resentfulness to them.

I can't think of any off the top of my head that especially piss me off. I hate when people say, "well, it's the exception that proves the rule!," but that's mainly because they're usually grossly mistaken about what that phrase actually means.
