The Big Hollywood Update!

We decided to stay at a hotel in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night since we had to be at the airport around 7am on Thursday. J.R.’s mom and stepfather took us out to dinner at Fire Mountain in Chippewa. It’s the biggest buffet I’ve ever seen in my life. Then they took us over to the La Quinta. We didn’t get much sleep because we were so excited

Heather--I'm so glad you guys had so much fun!! The weather was kinda weird this weekend. That totally sucks you didn't get to go out on the Santa Monica pier or anyhing cause of the wind. I'd suggest that if you ever want to do anything near SoCal beaches, to come sometime between June and August. Sometimes we get "June Gloom" at the beaches, but the rest of the summer is usually gorgeous and dry. Your pictures are awesome! There's always a ton of freaks around Hollywood and Highland. The character people are crazy. Did you see any crazy religious freaks? Last time I was there a couple months ago, there were all these fanatics gathered on the corners blocking people from walking by. Nuts. Heheh.

K--I'm gonna look at the rest of your pictures now :) Glad you had fun--and next time you come out, we should try to get together.

Yeah, it was much colder and windier (that doesn't look like a proper word?) than I expected it to be. Thank goodness I overpacked and took quite a few different jackets.

Thankfully we didn't run into any religious freaks. You were definitely right about there being a lot of bums. I lived in Atlanta for quite a while, so the weirdness of city streets (although maybe not as weird as Hollywood) doesn't really phase me too much. I kept having to tell J.R. not to talk to random people who were trying to stop us on the street, lol. Thanks again for your help prior to the trip.

We'll definitely have to visit again. It'd be cool if we could hook up.

I can't believe you're not sad you missed David Spade. I LOVE him. And he has cool hair. He's so funny. I'm glad that you had fun on your trip.

Haha! There's only a few people I'd really be upset if I had the opportunity to see/meet and didn't. I assumed none of them would be there, so I opted to sleep. Too bad they weren't letting people take pictures of David Spade though or else I'd have posted him.
