I finished the Strawberry Shortcake album cover purse finally. My finger is really sore from pushing the needle through the handles. I think it turned out pretty well. I wonder how much I can sell it for?
That is too damn cute! Where did this talent come from?? Did you have it in high school?? Do you think you could make them out out children's books? You should open your own ebay store and sell all your stuff. I bet you'd be rolling in the dough. Cute cute cute!!
(I already replied once but it didn't show up. It better not come up 2 times, now!)
Thanks! I don't think I really made stuff while we were in school. I'm sure if I did, you'd have known all about it. I really wish I would've taken art classes - hey, it would've been better than sitting through Mrs. West's classes. (remember that?) I think I was too self conscience to express my creativity.
I've been thinking a lot about selling some stuff I make on ebay. Making a bag out of a children's book is a good idea! I'll have to think about the best way to do that. I've also heard about some people making them out of old board games. That'd be fun, too.
That is REALLY CUTE! I see people making them on the hot_fashion livejournal. That sounds really crazy that some girl is forbidding people to make and sell that. I seriously doubt she can copyright that. If someone were to make a clutch purse I dont think they'd have to go through any process of finding out the originator. That would be insane.
My dad and me were thinking about making stuff and selling them online. He sews and I design. You really should make more. ;)
I was thinking the same thing. I don't really understand how she can say that no one else can sell what she sells. I dunno, it's a touchy subject. I know if I came up with a totally unique design, I'd be upset if someone else copied me and was basically ripping me off. But I don't know if something like this is even copyrightable (is that a word?). I think if I were to start selling them, I'd have to kind of redesign it a little to make it more my own. That's pretty much how the whole fashion/design industry works, right? I will still probably end up selling this one on ebay though, lol. In the next month or so, I'm going to start selling some jewelry that I make.
Do you have any of your designs online? I'd love to see what you do!
