Friends

We'll always be friends, but time passes
Raised together in these changing streets
Amassing power in this town, you decided
To make a new start; good luck to you

We'll always be friends, but time passes
In different towns and different streets, on different roads
We've chosen, in our random lives
We live together; good luck to you

How many years have piled up?
How many days have passed without my noticing?
The monkey bars in the park
Where we talked endlessly about nothing, now look so small
What we could see on the other side of that mountain
Is now all concrete and apartment buildings
Time's passed so quickly, before I noticed
When we were struggling, still incomplete
We believed in what we saw, and laughed
My friends from back then haven't changed, though they left this town
The streets are still here, feeling the same
If we meet again, let's walk through on these legs
Through the changed streets, looking around
And talk endlessly, feeling like we did back then

How many years has it been since we met?
Attacking adults with the spears of our irritation
We learned from each other and now we've become adults ourselves
Now we understand, we're friends
The scenery changes with the snoring of history
The nostalgic streets are suddenly over there
Though my friends have left the nest of the town we were raised in
Our feelings won't change, that's life
How many years have we sweated?
Are you guys still running?
Always looking forward, looking up, making it "my way"
And praying, that's what I love about you

You give though you're far away, defeated by this way of life
Climbing up with my friends, til the day we become real men
Til the day we understand, the day we both change
I'm right, aren't I? Let's be like that; let's meet again, smiling

We'll always be friends, but time passes
Raised together in these changing streets
Amassing power in this town, you decided
To make a new start; good luck to you

We'll always be friends, but time passes
In different towns and different streets, on different roads
We've chosen, in our random lives
We live together; good luck to you

Time passes in these changing streets
And as they take whatever shape they please, you start on your journey
Have I become used to this scenery? I looked up at the sky
Without me noticing, the stars have gotten fewer
Where are you so far away, my friend?
You raised your voice so it would reach me, "I'm here"

Time has passed since that day
Those streets are still left somewhere in my memory
I may forget them without realizing it
But looking back, we grew up together
Is the color of the sunset burned into your heart?
Are the tears we cried together dried?
We're each following our own paths
And as we do, we create our own tomorrow
Though things change, there are some things that remain the same
You are always in my heart, in my dreams
The farewells with everybody pile up
You give them each something and then leave
Running a long way to an unknown day
We both have a long way to go
But we're earnest and well get there

The farewells with everybody pile up
You give them each something and then leave
All these meetings, your wish isn't logical
You wrote here that it's my fortune

Before you start on this new journey, your hopes...

Tell me sometime, if we meet again
Tell me everything, if we meet again

Again with this new feeling in your heart
Your hopes take off

Tell me sometime, if we meet again
Tell me everything, if we meet again

The things you're insecure about now...

Tell me sometime, if we meet again
Tell me everything, if we meet again

Now that I think of it, I was insecure back then...

Tell me sometime, if we meet again
Tell me everything, if we meet again
Tell me sometime, if we meet again
Tell me everything, if we meet again
Tell me sometime, if we meet again
Tell me everything, if we meet again
