I can barely even look at pictures of future!Castiel without my heart starting to ache and my eyes getting all itchy, so why I ever think it's a good idea to read 2014!fic, I have never figured out...

Just. Wow. You = awesome. There go my heart strings, torn out and mashed on the floor. Absolutely amazing job. Gah. ♥

Because it's the best kind of pain, that's why! Or at least that's the logic I use to justify it, hehe.

Thank you so much! What a lovely first comment to receive. *offers you new, unmashed heartstrings to replace the old*

*flails* the bit with the knife, nnnngggghhh *flails more*

I really loved this. Crazy drugged Cas is delicious, and your crazy drugged Cas is even deliciouser.

Edited to add: Whoa, matching icons! That was unintentional, but I like it!

Whoa! I'm kind of flabbergasted to see you posting here, honestly. I love your writing style! *fangirls at you*

The bit with the knife was an afterthought, and I almost erased it! But I'm glad I didn't, and I'm glad you liked it. Crazy drugged Cas is strangely compelling. I guess it's the idea of something so "pure" becoming so ultimately corrupted that fascinates me.

It would also explain why I geek out over horribly destructive stuff like kudzu invasions, since, in its own way, IT IS SO FREAKING COOL TO SEE THAT PLANT TAKE OVER. *flails about* Horrible, too, yes, but...eh. Also cool. :p

This is amazing. <3 This verse owns my soul, basically.
Stoner!Cas is my favourite flavour of Cas omg.

When he walks forward, he almost careens into a wall. This time, Dean does grab him, but not quick enough to prevent Castiel from knocking over a vase of incense sticks. They clatter and roll across the floor, dry sounds scraping the hardwood.

Castiel neck lolls to look at the rolling vase, and the once-angel giggles. “Whoops.” Bloodshot eyes redirect themselves at Dean with a sheepish look. “Forget it. It’ll be there later.” He tumbles out of the room, releasing Dean’s hand from his shoulder when the distance between them becomes too great for Dean to keep hold of him.

This is my favourite part. <33

Oh noes! I'm not a soul collector! *hands your soul back (it burns!!)* But thank you so much! I'm so glad you liked it.

As for that part, I was very fond of that, myself. :)

I like to take my angst with a dash of hope, whenever possible. It says to me, "Yes! Things are awful! But they're gonna get better, you'll see!" and I like that. Heh.

2014!fic is great! There needs to be so much more of it. SO much more of it.

I'm glad you liked this! Thank you for reviewing. ^_^

When Castiel laughs, it’s a hoarse, gasping sound that grates out like sobbing.
THIS.

Oh my goodness, thank you so much! Best, really? *squeaks with glee* I do try. I love SPN 2014!verse. ^_^

He really is a heartbreaking character in that episode. We all know he has all this grandness in him ordinarily, that otherworldly spark that keeps him going, but in "The End", that's all taken away and Castiel has to deal with the fallout, while also dealing with the entire human world falling apart around him.

It probably wouldn't be as bad for him if the world were easier to cope with. But it's not. And it's fascinating to watch what that bleakness did to him.

And I am not sure what happened with the line breaks! Don't worry, your message comes across well anyway. :)

Thank you for reviewing. ^_^
