Oh right, it's time to share our yuletide fic, isn't it? Okay! My assigned fandom? Hamlet. My prompt? Darkfic and angst and slash. Right, so. If I ever mentioned anything about how doing Yuletide this year made me feel both incredibly voyeuristic and incredibly terrified, now you know why.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah the younger generation is just one big incestuous orgy and I love it.

also I ship Horatio/Ophelia hardcore. Poor kids.

the guy who played Horatio in New York was very very attractive. And had a leather jacket. Mmm.

also this was beautiful but I'm having trouble coming up with useful ways of expressing it.

THEY TOTALLY ARE. THEY TOTALLY, TOTALLY ARE.

Ahahaha Horatio/Ophelia started out as a joke between me and demonic9yearold, and somewhere along the line, kind of became one of those tragically doomed, fucked-up crack!ships of my heart. They totally have slumber parties where they bond over how they are used and abused, and what a douche Hamlet is.

Our Horatio had a fondness for tweed! And trail mix (well, the trail mix didn't happen on stage, but it is our personal canon)! But he was adorkable, and demonic9yearold made me want to cry and hug him against the suckiness of the world every time we got to "I am more an antique Roman than a Dane."

And thank you. ♥
