yay for being not dead!

Good luck with the job search, I know how crap-ass that can be. Is Comcast down there? I could try and refer you for something... but yeah, that's all I've got to offer. One of these days, Steev and I will become independently wealthy and we'll just pay our friends for being awesome, so when that day comes, I'll let you guys know.

There is Comcast, actually, but they require some certification I don't quite have yet. Still, I'll look into it - truth be told, I hadn't even thought about it.

i'm tempted to start playing the powerball lottery for the same reason piscosubito mentioned!

oh yea, and ditto on the good luck and good vibes on job searching. i seriously don't envy anybody dealing with job searches of doom. i don't think there are any SunGard offices down your way else i'd put in a good word somewhere for ya.

Good luck with the job search. When in doubt, you could always work 3rd shift at Denny's (no, seriously, it's the best shift ever! Drunks confuse $1s for $10s all the time; I made a $10 tip on a cup of coffee.) It's not the best job, but it earns money, and sometimes any job is a good job. It's only a temporary thing; soon, you'll be off to bigger and better things.

My advice: get the ITT under your belt if you can first. I'm running through jobs that won't even let you in without an MCP or A+. You could probably study up for an MCP under MCDST (MS Certified Desktop Support Technician) which is basically how to troubleshoot XP and only XP. I'm probably going to night-class that too at some point.

You may have to shitjob it while you do ITT, but having ITT will be MUCH help.

Hey Mike? If he wanted advice, he would have asked for it. Your assumptions that he has no clue what he's doing are wrong.
