Mad Wind Ninja Editor Freelancer Chaos
You know, in the world's current economy job plans have gone from bad to good to bad again to good and then right down the crapper. I'm still living with my folks, scraping up what little cash I can, living on the grace of the previous generation and feeling terrible about it.
However, the money situation, terrifyingly, is resolving itself. I received a order for a side of editing last month; a teacher I used to know was working on her PhD thesis and wanted me to edit it. Sad to say, it took me a while, and depressed me a lot, because even people aiming for their doctorates have trouble with the basics of this bastard red headed stepchild language we call English sometimes. I took money for the deal, and word began to spread.
Suffice it to say, I'm now a freelancer, which is in no way as cool as it sounds. It's unstable as heck, but I got another thesis to edit for the next month, as well as a possible translation post at HK City University as a research assistant. I'm teaching part time on top of that. It's like being broke, but less so... hopefully in a short while I can be completely self-sufficient! Taking strides! Kicking in doors and breaking faces!
I'll see how that goes.
Anyway, I gotta get the ol' engine back up and creaking; I realize that this place is probably my biggest little sliver of the internet, and as such the few people who still check this thing deserve some kind of entertainment, dammit! In the interests of super science, a meme ganked from Drakon and modified to fit my insane purposes.
1. Comment to this post with "COCKSAUCE" or something like that and I'll assign you the basis of some tv show idea. (Science fiction show, medical drama, criminal procedure, etc...)
2. Create a cast of characters.
3. Add in any actor photos, character bios and show synopsis that you want. If you can't, fictional characters work fine.
4. Post to your own journal, or here if you want, because my comments space is a big open space and nothing fills an empty space like a few people jumping up and down and yelling very loudly.
