Cheap Hindi Disco.

I was watching some hindi TV channel when suddenly this hindi tune in one of the Hutch advertisement caught my attention.
It took few days for me to dig the original song out, nice cheesy hindi disco, laid down by Bappi Lahiri, acted by none other than the BIG B and Parveen Babi in a movie called Namak Halal.

Hmm.... memories of those years seem almost surreal...

- Was there actually a time when every night on TV we had to hear a song written by none other than the El Presidente?

- Was there actually a time when we used rotary dials and cross-connections were actually a form of entertainment?

- Was there actually a time we competed amongst our school buddies with our sneakers branded 'Rebok', 'Rockymoon' etc?

Oh geez, that fucking song... well as far as that president is concerned - I think the day is not far away to reminisce our old days, chances are there for him to become elected president again to prove two things:
1. We are the dumbest nation in the globe and all the people died during the massive protest, are the dumbest.
2. There have been no better administration since him.
Regarding the sneakers, I remember there was another one called "Belly Keds"! Thinking of which gives me the thought - who in sane mind can call a pair of sneakers "Belly"?
