Last week I thought I remembered that the man I met in Luin--he was searching a for a way to help the Giant Kharlan Tree, which was in trouble again. So I helped him, and he offered to take me along. That was supposed to be how I met Ratatosk, who wanted to protect his tree. So we searched, and we ended up going across worlds. That was where I met ( Read more... )

[ooc; ... I wanna see the epic love affair entry, by the way. XD It sounded amazing.]

Holy crap... perhaps in this case, the fake memories might've been better than the real deal.

I'm not sure what to say, but chances are that the more complicated the memories, the more true they might be? ... Sorry, man, I'm not that helpful with these kinds of things.

(OOC: Lost it in the computer failure, sorry. Otherwise it would've at least been up Friday/Saturday!)

But everything before seemed just as complex. I mean, I didn't just remember a little bit. It was months, and all of it seemed so real.

I did think it was a little strange that I never remembered the man who saved me, but if his name really is Richter, and everything else I remember now is true...it's just hard to believe that in its own way, because he was so good to me. Why would he try to kill someone like that?

[ooc; Aw. :< Ah, well, at least their bromance'll continue.]

That it did... and since my prior memories were similar, I had no reason to doubt them either. Jeez, I wasn't aware the island was capable of false memories.

I don't know. There's just some things that probably only he can answer for you... and these memories're part of them.

I don't think even he could answer. If he came tomorrow he wouldn't remember a thing, and if I ever knew I would probably remember his reasons before he did. I have to remember on my own.

I think maybe if the fake memories disappeared after around a week, any others will fade in that much time too. Things usually take a week here, right? So I have to see what happens with what I remembered just now.

. . . . That's quite a bit to remember.

Not really. It's less than I want to remember. If all that is even real, then I don't know why Richter wanted to kill Marta so much, or why he called Ratatosk a demon lord, or even if I was able to help Marta in the end. There's so much I still don't know.

Maybe that means what I remembered really is true. Everything I remember only makes me ask more questions.

It may be understandable. The Summon Spirits have often been misunderstood because of their power, and this Richter may have simply been mistaken.

Your other questions . . . I'm afraid no one can answer.

So maybe it was a misunderstanding. He just needed to understand. Still, there's no way that could ever justify killing anyone. I really hope Marta made it out all right.
