Mmmmy Ggggeneration

Does it bother anyone else that our generation is known as Generation Why? or the iGeneration? What have we done for ourselves? What is the great impact that our generation will leave on American culture? iPods? Myspace? Are these really the things that will define our generation? hey, read this book, or whatever bits and pieces you can find time to, it's all about the generations of americans and has some interesting things to say: "The Fourth Turning : An American Prophecy" by William Strauss and Niel Howe.
I read it sometime as a textbook kind of thing, and found it again in the library here in NYC... it gives lots of things to think about.

come to think about it though, its not necesarily ipods and myspace our generation contributes to culture, but the interconnectedness of the world through the internet, we brought other peoples cultures to our culture and vice versa, which can be both good and bad. Good in the sense that there is more acceptance of other people unlike ourselves and faster information flow between cultures. This can also be bad because of internet crime and also the development of the McWorld.
