here it is, the start of my first new SiS story in ages, without further ado, here is the first scene of 'Kenpachi gets detention'
A short boy with spiked dark hair stalked through the halls of a well lit, clean highschool muttering to himself. "This is demeaning, Sloth. I can't believe you're going to make me go to school."
Inside his head a completely different, much older sounding voice echoed. The boy scratched at his neck, a look of irritation passing over his features as he itched an old scar shaped like a broken hourglass. It always itched when Sloth spoke to him, even after all these years...
"It may be demeaning, but the last time you recieved a proper education was well over 50 years ago, and much of your information is out of date, Ken. You WILL do this and you will try your best to avoid causing any kind of trouble. Do I make myself clear?"
Kenpachi Ginia physically appeared to be about sixteen, but the cold calculating look in his eyes belonged to a much older man. His hawkish features were always suffused with a kind of angry attention to detail, a sort of intense concentration to making sure he knew exactly what was going on around him at any given time. Now, his eyes narrowed as he considered his master's last statement. He continued to whisper to himself, knowing no one could hear his subvocalizations but his master, Sloth of the Sins. "Try my best, master? If I was to try even half of what I am capable of, this school would be in ruins and the ground salted to prevent another horrible travesty of a waste of time and youth from growing up in it's place. Tell me not to try my best but to be careful that I don't break their precious little rules." Ken was still stalking the halls whispering to himself when he found himself approached by an older, studious looking man wearing wireframe glasses and carrying a clipboad. The man spoke, holding up his clipboard as a kind of subconscious shield against the unfocused anger of the little student before him. "What are you doing out of class young man? Do you have a hall pass?" He said this last sneeringly as if he knew for certain this student didn't have a pass and was out without permission, a dread violation of the fearsome rules that governed the existience of a petty bureacrat.Ken looked up at him with a barely suppressed snarl and curled his lip in a sneer of his own before he spoke. "Sir, I do not as of yet attend this fine school, I was looking for the office that I might register for classes. Do you think you could find the time to help me find my way there?" The man seemed puzzled at the strange combination of rebellion and politeness coming from the youth that stood before him, and stepped back for a moment, gathering his thoughts. After a few moments he let out a whoosh of air he hadn't known he had been holding and replied. "Well, I suppose so, if you're not a student I suppose we'd better get that corrected as soon as possible. You know this is a private institution, right? There are fees to attend classes here." The boy raised an eyebrow and looked up at the man before shrugging and reaching into his pocket for a checkbook which he held up like a passport. "Yes, I'm aware, I came prepared to pay for my classes starting today. Can we just go and get this over with, I'm sure I'm missing something important by not being in class."
