So I pretty much got blindsided by the paper and was asked to resign via email this evening. I sent a lengthy professional response essentially explaining that if they had a problem with me working full time and therefore not being around the office all the time that they perhaps should have told me that when I brought that concern forward before

It's a burden that I no longer have to deal with at this point. I do take a minute bit of satisfaction though knowing that I'll pick up the paper for the rest of the semester and it'll be a disaster.
