Wow that really describes me...damn. I never used to feel submissive but over the last few years I have become more and more so, especially this year, when I finally was with someone amazingly dominant...it blew my mind.

That's precisely the topic of the massive term paper I'm slaving over today.

Thank you, you helped me rethink a few important points.

Damn I wish I was at home, but I have been staying at my old places taking care of the pets for a couple days.
reason being is I have this great article From the American Journal of Psychology about Masochism as an escape from self that could have potentially help you with your paper.

I would be really interested in reading your paper when you are done

Was the author Roy Baumeister? It sounds like him. I have most of his journal articles and one of his books. All are quite good, but given that they were written in the 80s, there needs to be a little updating.

I've also been doing peripheral research on religious and sexual induction of trance states. If you have any info that helps tie the two together, I would be very grateful.

btw: I just joined this site called fetlife.com like myspace/facebook for kinky people...there are some pretty good discussion and theory groups on it.
