The real Eris is real Eris, an impostor is an impostor. It is very simple. Sometimes, law of paradox does not apply at level of mechanics physics as perceived by ordinary human mind with single-reality perception.

Gods marry or screw all the time. Have you seen a book on ancient mythology?
If there were no divine marriages how could a goddesss of divine discord exist? And if there were no divine marriages, how could human marriages exist?

Not trusting Eris is not enough. Not being in vicinity of Eris close enough so that she could hurt someone or spy on that someone would be a lot better.
