I would like to experience something mystical, without feeling impeded by the environment in which I am present. Is there a way to change your mind and alter reality to the extent that things...change. Life is feeling completely stuck ( Read more... )

Taking acid or mushrooms is always one way to do this. But you should really only do this once or twice to see what shifting reality really looks like. The safest way to do it, and also the longest most difficult path, is to start keeping a dream log and learn to focus while dreaming and become a lucid dreamer. When you are in the dreamtime, you can learn to make small changes in the world you live in. Magic rarely makes more than small changes with out help from spirits. And that can be dangerous ( ... )

well first of all, I have a really extreme energy block. I am not sure if it's a health problem causing this physical pain, or something else. It seems directly related to my heart chakra.

Have you tried the old fashioned way? Alcohol and other... substances?

Also, as for less expensive ways, I use the right movies, novels, music, scents and other such stimuli to get me there.

........ alcohol and drugs , even natural ones will not help , they alter the mind and destroy the body ..... get still and quiet no music , even if you have to use ears plugs , cut out all noise all distractions , unplug the phone , take a long hot bath , get relaxed , the time doesn't matter , during the day , focus on a single beam of sun light , at night light a candle ( long burning it may take awhile ) , follow your thoughts , thoughts that busy the mind will only distract , deal with them and move on , soon ( maybe an hour maybe 4 ) the distractions will go away ..... you have to be willing to put in the time .... again , anything that alters the mind is just that ..... write it down , you won't be able to remember everything , more will come later .... write it down ...
