Hmmm interesting. dragonmyst00 June 11 2009, 02:59:00 UTC
So how is this different than Tarot?
A standard Rider Waite deck is used in very much the same way,
if you read them using the interpretive method.

I never thought to use a Tarot deck in this manner,
I guess I will have to give it a try.

It's very different in how the cards are broken down. The subsets of cards are:

Sensory

Character

Location

Victim

Equipment

Obstacle

Energy

and Message

Sure, Tarot can be used interpretively, and to a degree so is Konxari, but these cards spell out what's happening much more clearly. :)

If you use tarot according to the standard book that comes with it they are generalistic and vague.
But if you study them they can be very specific and frightenly accurate.
As with any divination tool (Tarot, pendulum, numerology, scrying) you need to go beyond the commercial appeal and truly study them to find the real usefulness of it.
The biggest difference I see is that Tarot connects the reader the divine or the Akasha, where these cards connect you to any non-corporal entity that it happens to come across, sort of like a Ouija board, which in the wrong hands can cause big issues.

It does sound almost as though the Konxari cards are another non standard tarot type oracle card which would be interesting to try. Do you know who created them?

A company I do work for: The IRM Foundation.

Apparently these cards have been around since who knows when- just like Tarot- only Konxari became more of a lost art...

Certainly Konxari can be studied the same way, and becaome just as powerful a tool. What I like about them (moreso than Tarot) is the symbols, letters, and numbers that come up during readings. I've had some interesting messages that Tarot has never been able to deliver...

Not knocking Tarot, which is also an incredible divination tool...
