Heh, why does one have "rights" in a supposed free country? Shouldnt the term be pointless if the country is truly free?
Yay, Bushonomics with a 38% victory ftw. Way to represent Canada Harper. >.<; Not to mention that this election had the fewest voters in Canadian history.
But rights are relative. I think that the right that she was talking about was a social right; which wouldn't have much to do with the level of freedom in our country, as it's a right granted by the people, rather than the government.
um, the fact that we live in a free country is what gives us rights you have the right to vote, the right to freedom of expression, etc since it's not anarchy, we don't have complete freedom, you have the right to walk around topless, but you do not have the right to walk around outside without pants mainly because people have the right to sit in a park and not be exposed to nudity it balances out
Old saying. "Don't vote, don't bitch." It makes sense to me, in a way. Right was perhaps the wrong word to use, but it's really the reason that I voted in this election. Picking one out of the four candidates out here was next to impossible. There was no lesser evil. I ended up having to go with what party.
