Long time no post, and a bit of review

It's been quite a while since I've updated, which is not because I'm not reading and admiring everybody else's LJs, but because I wind up spending most of my that-kind-of-time on Google Reader these days. Hee hee hee!! I haven't read the book yet but I've had the feeling that what you say is what I would think. I have two very well working X chromosomes and I HATE romance novels because usually the heroines are idiots who to varying degrees get dominated by the hero. I hate that sh*t.

Now please note that I am working the "Twilight" party at B&N this Friday and will be dress in Gothy vamp goodness. And yes, I will have sparkles on my face.

Beware, then, for this heroine is particularly idiotic, and she is utterly and completely dominated by the hero, who is a manipulative stalker and physically restrained her on a number of occasions. (Seriously -- what well-adjusted teenage girl reader continues to fansquee after the male lead mentions that he's been breaking into the heroine's house every night for weeks [prior to anything so much as a date, no less], just to smell her and stare at her sleeping... and she's okay with that?)

However, I would love to come see you in the gothy vamp goodness with the sparkles! (And the sparkles did amuse me to no end.)

Oh beloved Cat-Head, if this were indeed a homage, a true homage to Buffy, then it would be GOOD!! (I lurves Buffy.) But this is well, just fanfic fantasy. I think.
