Well, this is an interesting turn of events.

I just cancelled my Rift subscription - fortunately, just before the free month ended - and am currently in the process of reinstalling FFXI. For the infinitieth time. Eheheheh.

I need to read up on all the changes since I quit the infinity-minus-one-th time a while back... Is the level cap up to 99

I don't know if you'd remember, but I was also totally addicted to Abyssea :D;;

And I did a lot of Magian Trial stuff on my DNC, but now that I'd started a new Taru I'm glad for the new FoV EXP cap... or lack of one, rather.

Aye, I need a good timesink where I can spend a lot of time doing nothing that's actually not quite nothing again :D

Also, I want to go BLMing and SMNing again. And WoW and Rift don't really offer anything in that area that's quite as enjoyable as FFXI's, in my opinion.

FFXI will always be first in my heart, no matter what other MMOs I may try in the future :3 (Considering that ST and I have had fifty bajillion roleplays in the FFXIverse, we're kinda permanently tangled in. Eheheh...)

And it just always has a sense of awe and adventure and epicness to it, no matter what you're doing, that I just love. You shoulda heard me squealing like a little girl the first time I got to witness what Starlight in Jeuno was like.

Oh yes, very much so. And it's considerably more active than its "successor" which... I think has maybe twenty or thirty subscribers left.

To be fair, its successor was assembled by the same team who put the original FF1 together, hence why it sucks and nothing works
