I'm not a photographer, but I'm thoroughly intrigued by the photo "Philly0908-29.jpg." How did you capture the guy as stationary and the background as moving, instead of the reverse?
It's easy. Basically, I set the camera to a fixed time (about 1 25th of a second). Then I follow the subject with the camera while I hit the button. Since I'm moving the camera with the skater, he stays in one place in the photo, while the rest becomes a blur.
