That's fine... I'm not judging you, I'm just saying I'm not eating meat. and the Penn and Teller BS clips didn't disuade me much from my current feelings. I may have to watch the whole episode.
“There's no reason to not eat meat. None. Not biblically, and not from any health standpoint.” How about the moral reasons? Just because it doesn’t say not to do it in the bible, does not mean that it’s not wrong. And if you looked into it you’d find that people with vegetarian diets are normally healthier than people that eat meat in their diets. There are so many meat substitutes now that he will get everything he needs to stay healthy. So instead of everyone attacking him for doing something that he feels is right, his “friends” should be supporting his decision, because after all, it is his. He’s not doing this for any of you, he’s doing it for himself.
I do support Josh. I just don't support his reasons. There's a difference. The moral problem is fine. Don't eat meat from the factories that violate federal operating and animal cruelty standards. But don't advocate shutting down the entire industry either. That's my problem with the whole thing.
And a healthy and balanced diet is perfectly acceptable if you construct the meat and vegetable portions correctly.
I don't need the support of others for my reason, and its not just because of the so called 'bad' factories. The word factory alone should be a big clue to a problem... factory of meat. Anyway, I'm not telling anyone to not eat meat, so STOP telling me to eat it! End of discussion.
