So there is a really good thread on an unamed forum about companie's/store's big lies. Here is a snip from someone who worked in loss prevention at an unamed 'major national department store chain' as he puts it.

The doors on our fitting rooms were hung upside down so it was possible to see into the fitting room to watch suspects change, etc.I ( Read more... )

The first one doesn't make sense. If the doors were upside down, other people walking through would be able to see in also, not just the people monitoring them.

Probably depends on the angle of view. If you are like 3 feet from the door you could probably see the through the bottom portion (6 inches or so), but camera mounted up high and away could probably see everything.

That last one is soo true..... and I still live by it.
As for the first one, we worked next to a clothing store. One guy there climed into the 'celing' area and put a security camera above the rooms. No matter which way the doors were he saw some people changing.
