I just saw a beautiful film on IFC (well, I caught the last quarter of it, and am really interested in seeing the whole thing). It's called Kama Sutra- A Tale of Love. Yeah, I do like it. It's one of those movies I won't make you guys watch for fear you'll die of boredom on me. It's just so beautifully done - the colors, the detail of the sets. The story is a bit convoluted, so it would be hard to come in late. We'll have to watch it from the beginning again. "Girl with a Pearl Earring" is the only thing I've seen recently to set such a "mood" with the costumes and settings from beginning to end. And well, it's a big ol' angsty girly girl plot with drama drama drama all throughout. LOL!! Still though, it's gorgeous.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. You should try watching another of this director's movies - "Monsoon Wedding" - it's modern and funny as hell in parts but she does the same wonderful job with the setting. Plus, that one is better written, much snappier dialog. :)
