I could e-mail you the recordings if you like. Part 1 and 2 are each a 26 MB big mp3 file. Part 3 still has some stuff that doesn't belong to Mort (but is in the recording) and therefore is a bit bigger. I'll cut that out on Tuesday probably. Part 4 isn't released yet.
Just tell me an e-mail address that can handle such big attachments if you want them by e-mail.
I don't know another way of getting them to you (I have no own webspace).
Oh bother, once again.mcnutcaseJanuary 28 2007, 18:14:59 UTC
The biggest attachments I can receive are 10MB apiece, at my gmail account (which uses the same username as everywhere else).
However, the unix command split allows for easy cutting into chunks of files... or it would be easy if I could remember the dang command syntax or parse Texinfo (I can't; never have been able too, it's too verbose). That is, assuming you can get the files onto a Unix-type system...
Mort... oh yes. Two weekends ago I finally had time to listen. Wow.ext_34184February 22 2007, 15:59:33 UTC
It was lovely, just lovely. Great speakers. The hollow voice effect for Death and Mortimer sounded really otherwordly. And Isabel, haha, what a clever little brat.
Death's questionable vegetable preferences: "black broccholi with a tint of purple". Uhm, yummy? Not quite... why not aubergines right away? They almost have the desired colour already.
And Death plays definitely in hadji's league:
M: But that's not just! D: what did I tell you? M: (down) There's no justice. D: There's just us.
[...]
The showdown:
I: Father! D: What?! I: I love him! M: You never mentioned it?! I: There wasn't time. M: I was really-- D: Be silent! Stand aside, Isabel! I: No. D: Love is no defense against me, stand aside! D: No! D: Isabel, you will do as you are told!! I: No!! D: Isabel, go to your room!!! I: I will not!!! It's. Not. Faiiir... (cries) D: You're making this very difficult for both of us. I: (spiteful) Good!
Awww... how sweet :D And they lived merrily forever and thereafter, and so on.

Should do the trick. That would split the file into bit less than 9MB parts named Mort-Part-aa, Mort-part-ab, etc.
Oh, and chaotic, could you send the part 3 in similar chunks to me too, please. This nick at gmail. Thanks.
