No, the normal schedule neither implies strikes nor other stings that could belate a train.
The comment in Zürich was mostly because that train was totally punctual, while the last times I travelled by train before I always was late, up to more than one hour once. And it gave you a joyful memory. :))
Sometimes, even german trains that don't come near the swiss border are on time. ;) The last train I was on for example.
