Summary: Written for
shangrilove's TATSUYA-THON, using the prompt of: 5 wishes Tatsuya made and one that came true. (well, ok, I fudged it a bit to suit me. *giggles*) Haven't you ever made a wish you hoped would come true?
1. Ueda wishes he'd never been put into KAT-TUN as Jin tries yet again to get him interested in some girl he'd just met at a VIP club. Didn't the guy get the hint that he wasn't interested? He didn't know how many times he had to point out to him that he just wasn't into that sort of thing. Grabbing the nearest person, (who happened to be Nakamaru, much to Ueda's relief), Ueda began to kiss him passionately, ignoring the initially frantic squirming as Nakamaru reacted with shock to the sudden public display of Ueda's affections. Given Nakamaru's reaction after he realised just who was kissing him, Ueda thought he should do it more often. Nakamaru privately agreed.
2. Ueda wishes he'd never heard of Johnny's Entertainment and associated companies as he's forced, yet again, to do things against his will. Whether it was jumping (or not) off a high diving board, clinging to the side of the stage during a concert (even if he was held by so many ropes it was amazing he could move), or dressing up in some ridiculous outfit which was feathered-and-sequined to within an inch of its life, Ueda sometimes wishes he'd stuck to the original plan of becoming a school teacher. Then he remembers the fact that he'd have to teach girls and then he thinks that all these things aren't so bad after all and goes out onto the stage with a huge pink feather boa around his neck. Things could have been much worse; he could have been born MatsuJun instead.
3. Ueda wishes he were versatile like Kame, hot like Jin, dorky like Junno, or artistic like Nakamaru, but then he sees Koki, trying to be gangsta yet again and failing miserably, and is glad he's the normal one. After all, someone's gotta be normal in KAT-TUN to balance the sheer weirdness of the rest of them.
4. Ueda wishes for once that he weren't the only one who could box, as he takes on yet another screaming fan's boyfriend, intent on beating the crap out of Jin, who is currently hiding behind him with a terrified expression on his face. He also wishes that he didn't look quite so girly as the boyfriend gives up after taking one look at him and goes away, muttering something about not hitting girls. He glares at Jin and doesn't speak to him for the rest of the week.
5. Ueda wishes he'd remembered to lock the door behind him when he came in to find Ryo with his hand down his trousers on the floor of their dressing room, but the look on Ryo's face was worth every moment of torment that Ryo had ever put him through when the entire Jimusho (egged on by Pin) crowded into the room for a look at Ryo jerking himself off to a picture. Or that was until he realised that Ryo was jerking off to one of Ueda's magazine spreads. The resulting scream of fury and humiliation deafened them all for a month and resulted in Ryo gaining a boyfriend (Ueda) and Pin getting tied to their respective beds and tortured by Ryo and Ueda until they couldn't sit down.
+1. Ueda wishes Ryo would stop making his life hell and actually tell him how he feels in an honest, unequivocal manner and stop sniping at him. He actually says this out loud without thinking one afternoon as he's wandering the hallways and not paying attention to who is passing him as he does so, and is thus surprised when Ryo shows up the next day, all hesitant and fumbling until Ueda lets him into their dressing room, subtly hinting that the others can leave and not come back until Ryo's said what he came to say in private.
Some time later, the boys come back to find the door closed (and locked) and panting moans coming from their dressing room. Jin and Koki high-five each other while Kame and Nakamaru look suitably nauseated. Junno just looks confused and loudly asks if they're going to actually go out for dinner like they'd told him they were going to when Ryo comes to the door, his face red and sweaty and tells them to bugger off, Ueda's busy and not buying them dinner. He slams the door in their faces and the low moans resume a short time later.
The next day, Ueda reflects that it's not a bad thing to wish for something nice to happen, as he gingerly makes his way from his apartment to his car and then thinks better of it; he'll take the train to work - that way he doesn't have to sit down just yet. Sometimes wishes do come true after all.
